This was my first cruise travel but i the beginning I wasn't very exited about it. I endured some serious personal problems and I wanted to stay alone for long time. That's why I pitched on a cruise travel. I thought how quiet and peaceful the travel will be and how much time will I have to ponder over my life.
I choosed to travel to Dawn Princes from Acapulco to San Francisco and the trip was delighting. My cabin was very pretty, but not very large. In fact I shared my room with two another passengers. First I was very afraid to share my cabin and was disappointed, because I was not ready to talk with strangers but later, when I saw my travel companions, I agreed.
The ship is very large and very well equipped. I didn’t miss anything.
In the beginning I was afraid to get bored because of my bad mood, by I soon realized, that getting bored on a cruise is a difficult task The recreation and entertainment were very well organised Performers from the shore came on board, and one night, two theatre formations performed on the ship. By the way, I was very surprised to discover, that on board there was staterooms for psyhoanalitical help. I didn't decide to try, but it was interesting to meet people with similar problems.
The food was delicious and the dining room perfect. About the port of call I have nothing negative to say.
Unfortunately I was not missed by the seasickness. However it continued only one day, so I was not so angry. The cabin stewardess gave me some pills to prevent the seasickness, but they didn’t work. My cabin mates fell ill for two days, so I was lucky.
Acapulco was a city of dreams, although there was very hot and the air very mist. We visited five places in Mexico, Acapulco, Ixtapa, PuertoVallarta, Cabo San Lucas and Mazatlan. As we went north the weather became more moderate and cool.
The places we visited in Mexico were very interesting and very beautiful. The beaches and the transparent water, the folklore bands performing for us on board, the local food we tried, the friendly people we met. I was really delighted and satisfied with the journey. In fact the disembarking in San Francisco was not very well organised, because, due to some problems, our disembarking delayed with two hours! I thought I would miss my plane, but fortunately, I got it.
Despite of the faults I'm very pleased with the trip and after it I feel more positive about myself. Definitely I’m going to repeat the experience at least once again .
